Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience in hospitality or food & beverage operations.
- Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience, demonstrating ability to hire, train, schedule, evaluate, counsel, discipline, motivate, and coach employees.
- License or Certification: None required, but safety training and certifications must be completed as per company policy.
Core Competencies:
- Clear, professional communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Adherence to quality expectations and standards; proactive identification of efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings improvements.
- Physical stamina: stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 lbs; navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces; reach overhead and below knees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Service Excellence: Ensure staff work cohesively to deliver optimum service; inspect grooming and attire, rectify deficiencies; serve as role model and first point of contact for Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
- Operational Management: Complete opening/closing duties (setup supplies, clean equipment/areas, lock doors); inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO compliance, and cleanliness; complete scheduled inventories, stock, and requisition supplies.
- Guest Experience: Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being; welcome and acknowledge guests per company standards; anticipate and address service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Administrative & Compliance: Complete work orders for maintenance repairs; follow all company, safety, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions; complete safety training/certifications; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- People Management Support: Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
