Join NXP Semiconductors as an Entry-Level Data Scientist within our semiconductor engineering team in Malaysia. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers to apply data science and AI to improve manufacturing yield and quality. This role offers training and mentorship at the intersection of advanced analytics and semiconductor technology.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Strong foundation in statistics, data analysis, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in Python or R with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib.
  • Familiarity with SQL and large-scale databases.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing/test processes is a plus.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving, detail-oriented, collaborative mindset.
  • Internship or academic project in manufacturing/electronics/analytics is a plus.
  • Analyze wafer sort, final test, and inline process data to identify trends, anomalies, root causes.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor key metrics.
  • Automate data pipelines and reporting tools for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to deploy and sustain quality shield in production.
  • Innovate AI/ML solutions for non-standard problems.
